Zinc alloy anodes are widely used in marine waters but do not require chlorinated media to activate and can also be used in brackish and fresh water applications.
However, in order to facilitate the activation of the electrochemical reaction and thus the operation of anodes in these low conductive media, A.M.P.E.R.E produces a magnesium-enriched zinc alloy whose composition and electrochemical characteristics are presented below.
