In order to limit the use and release of heavy metals, A.M.P.E.R.E is developing a new generation of cadmium-free zinc alloy for the manufacture of sacrificial anodes for cathodic protection of steels at sea.
In our new Zinc alloys GALVA GREEN PROCAT, Cadmium is replaced by metals such as Gallium and Indium, also associated with Aluminum in very specific proportions in order to optimize characteristics and performance. These compositions are patented by A.M.P.E.R.E.
The galvanostatic tests and evaluations carried out make it possible to highlight electrochemical capacities, yields and closed-circuit potentials at least equivalent to Zinc Z3 alloys according to EN 12496 (2013) Annex B.
