In immersion degreasing operations, the part is immersed in a static bath. The concentration, temperature and time parameters are applied to compensate for the low mechanical effect.
The detergent may be :
- emulsifier : the oil decoupled from the substrate is fragmented into fine droplets and at saturation the bath must be drained.
- release: the oil released from the surface of the part is released to the surface of the bath and is continuously removed by a coalescing oil stripper.
