Dimensions : sections 100×10 – 200x10mm – other sections upon request

Product description : the copper flat anodes we offer are made from high-purity copper cathodes. They are used as copper anodes for copper baths.

We offer copper anodes in the shape of strips in width 100 and 200mm. Other widths are possible on request. The anodes will be cut to the length you want.

The standard thickness is 10mm, however, depending on your needs, we can go up to 20mm thick.

For optimal use, the copper anodes must be drilled to secure the anode hook that will be placed on the current supply bar.

It is advised to place the copper anode in an anode bag.

We offer different copper anode grades :

  • Oxygen Free copper plates – OF copper : their particularly low oxygen content, always less than 5 ppm, corresponds to special applications. Their advantage is the very low formation of electrolytic sludge compared to electrolytic copper. OF copper is dissolved in copper sulphate acid baths and also formulations with potassium pyrophosphate and copper pyrophosphate. It is also used in baths based on potassium cyanide or sodium cyanide also containing copper cyanide.
  • Phosphorous copper plates – DXP copper : this slightly alloyed copper quality is used for glossy  copper coatings or as a sub-layer before a nickel layer. Also known as DHP Copper or DXP copper, it contains between 400 and 600 ppm of Phosphor. Anodes are placed in copper sulphate baths.

Uses : copper flat anodes are used for electrolytic copper plating. Depending on the type of copper deposit you want (mat, gloss, ductile, etc.), different copper qualities will be used: electrolytic, Oxygen free or phosphorous.

Copper bars can be used as a current feed bar – bus bar, for surface treatment plating lines. In this case, the length can be up to 6 meters.
