Corrosion inhibitor

TECHNICAL DATA SHEET

A corrosion inhibitor is a chemical substance that is added in very small amounts in a corrosive medium (acid stripper) and reduces the rate of corrosion. During the stripping of a highly oxidized part, the first stripped parts will be protected by the inhibitor which adsorbed on the surface, waiting for the total stripping of the surface. This allows an acid saving by limiting the dissolution of iron.
