The quality requirement in the metal processing industry implies active protection of metal parts against corrosion. The decentralization of specialized factories has increased intermediate storage, the constraints of the surrounding environments are more numerous and more or less severe. HENKEL Technologies’ BONDERITE® products are uniquely adapted to different types of protection, both in inter-process and in short- and long-term storage.
The oxidation of bare metal parts occurs mainly through contact with oxygen in the air and climatic variations (humidity and air temperature).
The objective of corrosion protection is to prevent this external aggression by different methods :
- paint protection,
- oily protection and dewatering,
- film-forming amine protection,
- phosphatation,
- chemical conversion,
- galvanic deposits (zinc plating, electro-galvanizing) or hot-dip galvanizing (zinc),
- metallization (zinc).
- Neutral salt mist (NSS), acetic (AASS) or cupro-acetic (CASS) test according to ISO 9227
- Kesternich test (according to DIN 50 017),
- Cast iron chip corrosion test (according to DIN 51360),
- Ford Bac test (according to ISO 2812).
