Cathodic protection


A.M.P.E.R.E. Industrie integrated and further developed the cathodic protection anodes business from the former company "Vieille Montagne" (Union Minière France) for Zinc alloys, and from the company "Aluminium Pechiney" for Aluminium alloys.

As a result, we benefit from the technical background, as well as the research and development facilities of both these companies.
Our state of the art manufacturing plant, is located in France and equipped with the most up to date equipment ensuring the highest quality production and reproducibility for sacrificial anodes.


Thanks to our registered brands, we are now a well known and reliable supplier of sacrificial anodes for harbours and jetties, ships and offshore installations:

Quality

1 – Quality

A full quality report can be supplied with each anode production. It will contain :


  • Spectrometric analysis of the alloy
  • Compliance certificate for the insert
  • Surface treatment specification of the insert
  • Control report on dimensions and tolerances
  • Destructive test report
  • Electrochemical performance test report

Our anodes are consistently sized and cast according to the in-force standards for cathodic protection, in particular the NF EN 12496 or DNV RPB 401. Our quality standard comply with these requirements and also those from our customers, when more restrictive.

Every single casting of sacrificial anode is controlled by Optical Emission Spectrometry and each batch is recorded with a certificate of analysis, for an optimum traceability.

  


2 – Design study

We can propose the calculation of the most accurate anodes and their characteristics in terms of weight of alloy and size, in order to bring the best protection to your structures.

Our independant engineering partners, with certified Afnor Level 2 "sea" staff, will supply, according to the different possibilities and surfaces to protect, with a complete file, containing the working process, the implementation plan, and the specific design of each anode.

Our design studies are realized according to the in-force standards:

  • NF EN 12473 : General principles of cathodic protection in sea water
  • NF EN 12495 : Cathodic protection for fixed steel offshore structures
  • NF EN 12496 : Galvanic anodes for cathodic protection in seawater and saline muds
  • NF EN 13173 : Cathodic protection for steel offshore floating structures
  • NF EN 13174 : Cathodic protection for harbour installations
  • DNV RPB 401 : Cathodic Protection Design
